The bar chart deals with the projected mobility costs of a typical motor vehicle worldwide in 2030, by drivetrain technology.
Experts predict that in 2030 Synthetic Fuel Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) / Mid Hybrid Electric Vehicles (MHEV) will have the most expensive mobility costs. With 64,4 € per 100 kilometres they are nearly 20% more efficient than Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV). The third largest number belongs to the Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) with 54,8 € per 100 kilometres. Nearly as big as the PHEVs are the diesel or gasoline ICEs / MHEVs. Battery Electric Vehicles are predicted to be the most efficient drivetrains in 2030.
